Pom Klementieff

Pom Klementieff was born May 3, 1986. She studied at the Cours Florent drama school, Paris. She has been in films such as Loup 2009, Sleepless Night 2011 and Hacker's Game 2015. She is the character Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. (2017). Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Avengers: Endgame (2019). Pom Klementieff was raised in Quebec City to a Korean father and a French-Russian wife. He was employed as a consul for the French government. Eugene Klementieff was her grandfather. Because it sounded similar to the Korean words for "spring" or "tiger" Her parents named their daughter Pom. Klementieff was in Canada for a year prior to her family travelled extensively due to her father's employment. After moving to France, Klementieff resided in Japan. Her father, who passed away at the age of 5 from cancer, was her mother. She also suffered with schizophrenia and didn't have the time for her kids. Klementieff was raised with her aunt and paternal uncle. Her uncle, whom she herself described as "like her first father," died on Klementieff’s 18th birthday. Her brother, who was younger, died seven years after his death. This time, it happened on her 25th. Klementieff briefly went to law school after her uncle's death to please her aunt, but didn't find the profession path appealing. She was also an waitress in France and a saleswoman. She began acting at age 19 in the Cours Florent drama school in Paris. It was only three months in studying when she was awarded an audition for a stage show that gave the opportunity to take two years of free classes with the best teachers at the school. Her first acting gig professionally was the French independent film Apres lui (2007), as the stepdaughter of the protagonist played by Catherine Deneuve. The shooting of the scenes took three days. The plan was for Klementieff to push another person down a set staircase and then fall down. Gael Mostl kept the shot in the final film. Loup (2009) is the French film about the Siberian reindeer herders was her first significant role. She was filming in a camp hours away from the closest village. It was there that temperatures dropped to zero.
