Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter
of Kjellfrid Andreassen who was a former midwife as well as a nurse from
Norway. Her birth date was April 25 1969, in Katy. Emil Erich Zellweger, her
father, is a Swiss engineer. The couple was married in 1963. Renee is a sister
to a brother named Drew Zellweger, a marketing executive who was born on the
15th of February in 1967. While working in the drama group, Renee became
interested in acting. She also took an acting class at University of Texas
(Austin) and began to look for a profession in acting. She was determined to
act after she graduated, but Hollywood can be hard to get into. Renee decided
not to leave Texas and went to audition in Houston to be cast in roles. Matthew
McConaughey was another Hollywood newcomer that she met on set for Texas
Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Next Generation (1994). Renee was aware that he was
working on a film and auditioned. The role was given to her in Love and the 45
(1994). The role was a huge success and received her enough praise, that she
moved to Los Angeles. A second role in The Whole Wide World (1996) came next,
and led to her biggest break. Cameron Crowe was busy with casting Jerry Maguire
(1996) starring Tom Cruise. Crowe was looking at actresses like Bridget Fonda
(Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder) and Marisa Tomei, when he came
across Zellweger's performance at The Whole Wide World (1996). He attended an
audition with Zellweger and was certain he had found his Dorothy Boyd. Renee
followed her huge success with a few small independent films. After receiving
more praise from critics she was confident enough to return to the realm of
large-budget Hollywood films. She was a co-star with Meryl Streep in the
tearjerker One True Thing (1998). She also starred opposite Jim Carrey in Me,
Myself & Irene (2000) and began to meet Jim Carrey shortly thereafter.
She played the title role in Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
