Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada on August 27, 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke
are her father. She is the middle of two brothers, the older one, Natasha
Chalke, one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut with City Boy
(1992), the first television-produced film made by TV. After her first film she
auditioned for the role as Becky in Roseanne (1988) in 1993. The show was
seeking an alternative to the character after Alicia Goranson quit the show to
go to college. Sarah graduated high school in 1995 as she was filming the
1994-95 Roseanne (1988) season. Sarah also starred alongside Jim Varney (1994)
in Ernest Goes to School (1994). Then, in 1996 she appeared in two films in
which she starred, including Robin of Locksley (1996), and also Stand Against
Fear (1996), where she played a cheerleader "Krista Wilson". Sarah
was asked to be a part in a show from 1998 called Nothing Too Good for a
Cowboy. It was a year after Roseanne (1988). Based on Nothing Too Good For a
Cowboy (1998), the show also had a basis. The role was taken over by Becky on
Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She announced that she would like
to quit acting and enroll in college. 2001 (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's
older sister in Roseanne (1988) however, she is actually younger. Participated
in 1999's CCMA Awards ceremony, and was presented with the award for the best
single. (September 1999) At the age of eight, she appeared in Vancouver theatre
productions. A native speaker of French and German. She works at a hospice that
cares for terminally ill children. Chalke likes cooking with her friends,
especially Thai as well as sushi and playing guitar. She also enjoys ski (she
is an instructor) Kayaking, snowboarding, kayaking as well as reading. Her
father is a lawyer and both of her parents are mediators and operate a child
adoption agency. She traveled with her parents to China two years ago to help
coordinate the adoptions of a lot of orphans.
